2010 Summer Session: June 28th - August 21st

Our 8-week Summer Session or dance classes begins June 28th and runs through the week of August 16th.  The schedule should be available by April. Please check back often! Here are the Worship and Dance Camps:

     ANGELINA BALLERINA    

6/7-6/11

Mouse BallerinaHave fun doing special ballerina dances and learn all about being a ballerina! Popular themed camp will teach ballet technique, stretching, and steps across the floor. Students will also do ballet-related crafts and activities. Students will prepare for a special ballet performance that their families will be able to watch on the last day of camp! (see current and summer dance classes coming soon to our sister site: www.musicplace.com.)

     CAMP ROCK    

6/21-6/25

 SAVE THE DATE! Theater emphasis dance camp. Be a star  as part of your own Camp Rock dance team!  Theater dance skills highlighting tap, jazz and other dance forms will be taught with lively but wholesome music, preparing students for a dance revue that is sure to impress. 10AM-12PM
WS 3.5-6 YRS

      ANGEL CAMP     

6/28-7/2

Join the celebration as we spend an exciting week together dancing like angels! We will wear angel costumes, perform angel stories, create inspired crafts and even play a big harp! On Friday, our week will conclude with a special class performance as we share all that we have learned.  Don't miss this chance to express your love for God in a wonderful tribute to His Heavenly  Host.  Christian Emphasis

 6-13 YRS     "GOD'S PROJECT" THEATER CAMP     6/28-7/2
The Music Place celebrates the uniqueness of each student using parts from Schueller's musical and including well loved classics such as "I Am a Promise". Theater students work together to sing, act, dance and make props in preparation for a humorous but inspiring musical teaching kids their value to God and one another.  Full and partial  scholarships available.  Campers bring a lunch. Apply to be a parent helper for reduced tuition!  **Must be able to read. Christian Emphasis ($149.00 for 1st child, $125.00 for each additional sibling) 9:30AM-1:00PM
WS 9+ YRS

     HIP HOP INTENSIVE    

7/6-7/9

SAVE THE DATE! This 4-day camp for energetic older students includes jazz and hip hop moves that are wholesome but percussive and creative.  Using upbeat, age-appropriate music, students will develop skills in rhythm and team movements with a "street flavor."  BOYS WELCOME! TEE SHIRT INCLUDED.

     PRINCESS PARTY    

7/19-7-23
Does your princess love the stories of Cinderella, Belle (from Beauty and the Beast), Sleeping Beauty and Snow White? The  Princess Camp will have your girls dancing like their favorite princesses, dressing up in princess costumes and acting out their favorite princess stories. They will also create crafts, decorate their own tiara, play games and attend a special Princess Tea. It will be a wonderful week filled with the delight of feeling like a Disney princess. 
WS 12-19 YRS.

     W.A.K.E. TEEN INTERNSHIP     

7/30-8/7
Teen interns 12 and up use and develop skills in song, dance, mime, painting/art, flags, instruments and worship leading. Teens use growing skills to help lead younger children in the Worship Arts (W.A.K.E.) camp the second week. 9:00AM-4:00PM, July 30th & 30 minutes hour daily before or after camp.  Lunch provided on training day ($50.00 includes training day and W.A.K.E. week) Christian Emphasis
WS 6-11 YRS

     WORSHIP ARTS 4 KIDS (W.A.K.E.)   Co-op

 8/2-8/7

 Children will enjoy worshipping and increasing skill in the biblical use of various art forms and media such as flags, dance, painting/art, melodic instruments, percussion, vocal solos, chorus and worship leading. The week will end with an evening celebration of worship (led by kids!)  Final day and evening at SJOB. Parent Work Exchange Scholarships available 9AM-12:30PM.  Extended Lunch care (12:30p-1:30p) available $25.00 . After camp music or dance lessons may also be arranged. Worship Arts Kids' Education $95.00 with1-2 hours parent help requested.
WS 3.5-6 YRS.

     CHRISTIAN PRINCE & PRINCESS     

8/9-8/13
Come one, come all to the Land of the Dancing Princes and Princesses and be transformed into royalty!  Learn how to dance like a prince or princess, act in a special prince & princess play, and create wonderful royal treasures to keep. We will explore what it means to be princes and princesses of the most high King Jesus. At the end of this week students will invite their royal family and friends to a delightful performance.
